PTSA positions available for 2021-22 school year:


Communications Chair

  • The Communications Chair will manage PTSA social media pages and website and will help draft communications from the PTSA.

  • This position will be part of the PTSA Exec. Board and will serve for the 2021-2022 school year.

Volunteer Coordinator

  • The Volunteer Coordinator Chair will manage our volunteer database.

  • The chair's responsibility is NOT to just fill in if volunteers are not available - rather to work with the board to facilitate and coordinate for PTSA events.

  • This role will work with the Board or PTSA Event Committees to establish and coordinate volunteer needs and schedules.

  • This position will be part of the PTSA Exec. Board and will serve for the 2021-2022 school year.

Book Fair Coordinator(s)

  • The Book Fair Coordinators help manage the three book fairs we have throughout the year (Approx. September/February/June).

  • Instructions and training will be provided. This is a fun way to get involved with an exciting program!

  • This position will serve during the 2021-2022 school year but is not required to attend PTSA Exec Board Meetings.

Box Tops Coordinator

  • The Box Tops Coordinator will help teach the Geiger community about the new Box Tops program - a great way to fundraise for our school!

  • This role will promote current opportunities for earning extra points throughout the year.

  • This position will serve during the 2021-2022 school year but is not required to attend PTSA Exec Board Meetings.

Financial Review Committee (Multiple Members Needed)

  • The Financial Review Committee will consist of three PTSA Members (cannot be the President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer).

  • The Committee will meet twice between July 1st and August 31st, 2021 to review the previous financial year and again in the winter for a 6 month budget review.

  • Meeting time and date will be scheduled by committee members.

  • Information on how to conduct a review will be provided.

Fundraising/Auction Committee (Multiple Members Needed)

  • Fundraising is an essential part of our PTSA and helps provide opportunities and events for our Geiger community. We would love your help with ideas and brainstorming for future events!

  • This Committee will meet throughout the year as needed.
