2026-2027 Geiger PTSA Mission
"To create & foster opportunities that enrich & support our children, teachers, & community."
Goals:
Continue to prioritize advocacy work for our students, parents, & teachers within the Geiger community.
Work to improve the level of community engagement & volunteerism with continued efforts toward increased diversification & a PTSA that is truly representative of our school community.
Provide multiple educational enrichment opportunities for Geiger students (e.g., field trips, assemblies, science/art programs, & community events.
Provide support to Geiger families in need via the Winter Wishes & food pantry.
Support Geiger staff via Montessori education, teacher stipends, volunteerism, staff appreciation events, & other means.
Enhance community connection through community events & transparent, timely, & relevant communications (e.g., financial transparency, website, general meetings, & social media).

Back to School Meet & Greet Night:
Wednesday, September 2nd 4:30 - 6PM
at the School
We hope to see everyone at our Meet & Greet. Come and reconnect with families, say hello to the Geiger staff, tour the building and drop off supplies. Staff are excited for a new year.
First Day of School:
Grades 1–12 First Day: September 9, 2026
Kindergarten First Day: September 14, 2026
Bliss Ice Cream Takeover:
Tuesday, September 15th, 3-9PM
Bliss Creamery, 3556 Market Pl W, University Place, WA 98466
Stop by Bliss Creamery this day for an ice cream, and a portion of all sales that day will go to support Geiger PTSA!
Harvest Festival:
Saturday, September 26th, 5-7PM
at the School
Our big kick-off event for the new school year! Join us for this fall festival featuring carnival games, prizes, face painting, snacks and more!
