Meetings are held virtually via Zoom on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. Details are published here before the meeting. We also publicize on Facebook (Geiger Montessori PTSA) and Instagram (@geigerptsa).
Coming to your first PTSA meeting? Welcome!
Our PTSA meetings are open to all Geiger community members. You do not need to be a PTSA member to join - but we'd love to have you sign up!
Our typical meetings include a report from committees, call for volunteers, and introduction of new business / revisit previous business (topics).
Meetings are conducted using Robert's Rules of Order - a format that helps us ensure efficient use of time and prioritize topics the group wants to ensure we cover during our time together. This is also helpful in documenting decision making. However, if this is your first time hearing it - it can feel a bit confusing. We're here to help! We are working on our own tip sheet but for now - here is a helpful guide that shows examples of different "motions" and voting process that you might hear.
