Ideas to connect with other families:

• If you're in the Geiger neighborhood, start a “walking school bus” to connect with other parents to promote safe walking to school. This can look like families walking together or rotational adult walking with children.

o   Walking to homes on a route on the way to school

o   Meeting at someone’s house or parking lot and walking together to school

o   Invite those that live outside the catchment to park and join you!

• Connect with families in your child’s class. If you drive to drop-off, perhaps connect with other families in your child’s class that they know and meet together at the Tacoma Musical Playhouse and walk together to school.

• An alternate idea for those driving out of area, perhaps connect with other families that live in your same area or along the way and carpool either by route, or all meeting up at a central location (like Heidelberg Complex, next to Cheney Stadium for example)
